Thirty years ago, I was introducing businesses to the idea of using a recruitment agency, and why it would benefit them. Today, having worked on both sides, I'm showing them why recruitment works even better from within.

Along the way, I've recruited for everyone from small businesses to large corporates across manufacturing, engineering and aerospace & defence.

Embedded Talent Partner gives growing businesses something usually reserved for larger organisations: an experienced recruiter of their own. I work alongside your team, on site or remotely, and recruit under your name, with no placement fees and no sales targets.

My background

Experience from every side of hiring.

In-house and agency

I've run my own agency and worked in-house for organisations, so I know what it takes to build a hiring process that works from the inside. I'm CIPD Level 5 qualified (2023 Student of the Year, Hereford & Worcester branch) and was awarded Member (Advanced) status by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation.

Where I started

Before recruitment, I worked in press and radio advertising, with a background in design and display. It gave me a lasting appreciation of well-crafted advertising copy, which I apply to every job advert I write, helping your business attract the right candidates.

The whole employee life cycle

At Synalogik, my role grew to include HR support, and I completed my CIPD Level 5 alongside it. Going back into education as a mature student was a rewarding experience. Being involved in every stage of the employee life cycle gave me a rounded view of how people join, settle and grow in a business, and it confirmed where I do my best work: at the front end, attracting and recruiting the right people.

Outside work

I'm based just outside Tewkesbury. I take a keen interest in wellbeing and personal development, I'm learning to play the handpan, and I'm slowly being accepted by two feral cats, now seven years into what I'd call a long-term partnership.
